Algoriddim, the creators of the popular music and video mixing apps for iPhones, iPads and Macs, has appointed Talk PR’s technology team to help drive downloads for the new versions of the apps in the UK. Both apps, djay and vjay, transform Apple devices into a full-fledged DJ and video mixing system.
The agency was brought on board without a formal pitch following its successful work for another mobile accessory brand.
Talk PR’s activity aims to encourage users of Apple products, including the recently launched new iPhone 5, to download the new versions which come with full iTunes integration and are specifically designed for Apple’s latest software update. Talk PR has also been briefed to engage directly with influencers in the DJ community to help drive on and offline advocacy for the apps, and will also handle the launch of additional product releases later this year.
Jane Leah, Head of Talk PR’s Technology, Innovation & Play division, says: “djay and vjay are two of the best-designed apps in the App Store and have already attracted praise from users, bloggers and even Apple itself. Our job is to develop broader awareness of the Algoriddim brand and offering amongst bedroom DJs, up-and-coming talent and professional DJs.”
Algoriddim’s General Manager, Karim Morsy, comments: “The initial versions of djay and vjay have taken the App Store by storm and Talk PR’s work will build on this success to create even greater engagement with the UK music and DJ scene.”
